Biography
Dr. Antina de Jong |

Antina de Jong works as legal and ethical advisor at the Royal Dutch Medical Association (RDMA). She first graduated in theology and ethics at the University of Groningen and started her working career as patient advocate in (mental) healthcare institutions. After finishing her legal studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, she worked as a legal advisor at the Council of State, the highest advisory body of the state, advising the government and Parliament on legislation and governance.
Her focus was on legislation regarding health care and education, and on criminal law. She then worked as a lecturer in health law and bioethics at Maastricht University and finished her PhD in bioethics. Antina now combines both her ethical and legal expertise as an advisor for the RDMA and its member-physicians. |
