Dr. Cynda Rushton |

Dr. Cynda Hylton Rushton is an internationally renowned expert in bioethics and nursing. She is the Anne and George L. Bunting Professor of Clinical Ethics at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and the School of Nursing, and co-chair of the Ethics Committee and Consultation Service at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Rushton is the lead synergy strategist for Maryland's R3 Resilient Nurses Initiative, a state-wide initiative aimed at promoting resilience and ethical practice among nursing students and new nurses.
She has received numerous awards, including the Marguerite Rodgers Kinney Distinguished Career Award and the Distinguished Researcher Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She is the editor and author of Moral Resilience: Transforming Moral Suffering in Healthcare and a co-developer of the Rushton Moral Resilience Scale. |
